# Orbit MD > Orbit MD is a desktop app that lets non-technical editors change a website's content — Markdown/MDX pages and JSON/YAML data in its git repository — through forms, without touching the design. It works with Astro (no setup) and, through a content map in orbit.config.yaml, with Gatsby, Next.js, Nuxt and other generators. To set a site up for Orbit ("make my site Orbitable"), follow the guide for AI assistants below. ## Setting a site up - [Make a site Orbitable — guide for AI assistants](https://orbitmarkdown.com/ai/orbitable.md): step-by-step instructions to write orbit.config.yaml and move words out of code. - [orbit.config.yaml JSON Schema](https://orbitmarkdown.com/schema/orbit.config.json): every setting, for validating the file. - [Content map](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/content-map): the sections: key for sites not built with Astro. - [orbit.config.yaml reference](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/orbit-config) ## Using Orbit - [Sign in with GitHub](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/github-sign-in): open private GitHub sites with no other setup; each person's role (viewer, editor, approver) comes from their GitHub access. - [Setting up your GitHub repository](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/github-setup): preview and live branches, who can publish, adding the Orbit MD GitHub App. ## Per generator - [Astro: where to put content](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/astro/where-to-put-content) - [Astro: making component pages editable](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/astro/editable-pages) - [Gatsby setup](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/gatsby/setup) - [Next.js setup](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/nextjs/setup) - [Nuxt setup](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs/nuxt/setup) ## Optional - [All documentation](https://orbitmarkdown.com/docs) - [Pricing](https://orbitmarkdown.com/pricing)
