New pages
A new page is modelled on an existing page in the same folder: it gets the same fields, in the same order, with the values cleared and an empty page to write in. So a new blog post looks like the blog posts around it. The title starts as the name you typed, and your schema still checks the page before it can be saved.
The new page appears in its folder straight away, marked New until you save it. Discard it and it’s gone — nothing was written.
If a section can hold both kinds of page, the new-page box has an MDX tick box: leave it clear for a standard Markdown page, tick it for a page that can use components. Whether MDX is on offer at all is your developer’s choice — see MDX components.
